Those of you who know me personally will be aware that my son has been in and out of hospital with high blood pressure over the last month and things have been very difficult for us. As a consequence we haven't seen any live football since the Barnsley game. So it promised to be something of a relief to be able to visit Watford for the next road trip. Well, what a disappointment it turned out to be. The lads simply didn't turn up in the first half and it was frankly embarrassing. The second goal was one of the worst comedy goals I have ever seen.
It just feels like one step forward and two steps back. There was a fightback of sorts in the second half but the damage had already done. And just when we drew level and felt we had got something out of the game the defensive frailties resurfaced and we were sunk. Final score - Watford 3 - 2 Leicester.
We went home feeling so low. Cold, depressed, defeated. What do we have to do to get some consistency? Oh well. While some would say it's only a game, I would beg to differ.
